That he and his staff were able to manipulate the beliefs of their followers is not. Highly so.

What mattered wasn't his personal beliefs, but that he was successful in preying off the beliefs of the majority. Blind loyalty and hyper nationalism, leads to both things like Hitler, North Korea and dictatorship theocracies like Saudi Arabia and one party states like Cuba, and again, Cuba is a majority Catholic. Religion itself does NOT unsure protection of pluralism.
