Do you think Trump supporters are too stupid to realize they are stupid

I have cousins who are rabid Trump supporters.  Do I think they are stupid?  Not necessarily.  All three are college-educated and relatively bright.  HOWEVER - they live in a part of the country that has lost a lot of jobs - mostly to progress.  They live in a part of the country that is almost completely lower-class and white.  And they live in a part of the country that is almost 100% Protestant Fundamentalist.  They follow preachers like Franklin Graham slavishly.  Trump (and the preachers) fed into their fears.  They are absolutely convinced that the Muslims, atheists, and queers have already taken over their country.  They're sure that they would be unable to find a job in any major city because they're CHRISTIAN.  It's just - - - mind-boggling how brainwashed and fearful these people are.
