Do you think Trump supporters are too stupid to realize they are stupid

I have some friends who are avid Trump supporters. One of them sent me an article about how Mexico's economy is collapsing and this friend was praising it. Sort of a "HA HA in your face Mexicans" type of thing. However, this idiot seemed to not understand two simple things. 1: Mexico is a large player in the global economy and having them fail would be devastating. I honestly think this guy believes that all of Mexico is like Nogales or something. 2: If Mexico's economy somehow did fail then what does that mean for America? Yup! More immigrants. Something Trump and his following seem to hate. I also proceeded to say that along with this influx of immigration, the majority of Americans could be speaking Spanish by 2050 so might as well start learning it. I told him in that second scenario his head would literally explode.

Trump supporters have different motivations and come in all classes. Some of these morons, like Caitlynn Jenner support the party because MONEY but still ignore that not only does Trump appeal to bigots whom hate Mexicans and Arabs but LGBT as well. I don't think all GOP/Trump supporters support the GOP for the same reasons.

But some of these idiots on the boarder who voted for him are now regretting it because putting up a wall might cut some communities in half literally and those republicans were too fucking stupid to think about that at the time.

And this too. For the same reason China doesn't want North Korea to fall, an economic collapse would create a huge refugee problem. And considering some Central and South American nations have authoritarian rule, when you look back at revolutions, they seem to boomerang to the opposite of what they were when the nation collapsed. Yea, lets leave Mexico to rot so Russia or China can say, "We'll help you", then we have another Cuba next to us.
