How do religious folks reconcile violent concepts in "peaceful" Abrahamic religions?

you cannot reconcile a religion such as the abrahamic ones.
the truth is the only reason why christianity survived in the US
it was forced to change into a peaceful religion due in part to secular
not christian values. Then you look at Africa parts of africa you can
get away with murder in broad day  light, kill a gay, kill a child,
and all you have to say is muh religion and get away with it.

So we're going to throw Africa under the bus? America has been killing people in broad daylight for hundreds of years, so please spare me.
