Perhaps not here but I confess I'm curious to know which sort of agnostic you might be. Some agnostics simply recognize the inadequacy of their cognitive array to settle all questions. But we get quite a few through here of a different sort altogether. They insist they've lost belief but spend an inordinate amount of time asking how we full-on atheists make sense of the world without gods.

I would fit into your first category. I simply can't know all that's out there because I don't have a bird's-eye view of the totality of things. But by using the cognitive apparatus that I do possess, I've concluded that the world's religions and their corresponding deities are probably coping mechanisms developed by humankind to deal with questions of finitude, death, suffering, injustice, and the like.
