Tell us a South America story, something from Brazil maybe. What was that like? At what age did you wind up in Trumpland?
We moved here when I was 7.
We lived in Rio de Janeiro, in an apartment building only a couple blocks from the beach. During the summers, my mom walked us to the beach every single morning with our neighbor who had a daughter my age. The problem is when we moved from there to the US, we moved to the nasty, cold, depressing little city of Toledo, Ohio. Cold with no beaches and no mountains. It was extremely different. I was only 7, so it didn't effect me much but my sister was 13 and it was very hard for her. She suffered depression for years after moving there and was on medication for it.
It was very hard for my mom as well. I have no regrets about moving to the US, I just wish it had been a nicer place... preferably Florida. The transition would have been much easier.
I think you and your sister would also like it where i live. Plenty of Brazilians and other South Americans (Peruvians, Colombians, Ecuadorians) around here so you would fine some comfort in that. Some sense of familiarity in such an environment. And no no, i'm not saying that so you could move here. You think poop is funny. I have a feeling you would try to poop on me and then laugh about it. Totally not cool.
