There was Nirvana and Guns 'n' Roses... but I think they kind of tend towards the soft rock side... Sponge as well, which was a bit of a cross between Bon Jovi and Nirvana in their earlier stuff. And then on the opposite side of the fence, on the harder side, have you ever heard of Laibach? But it's actually been quite a long time since I last listened to them... that phase basically having been and gone... but I'll always have fond memories of growing up with their music, and I've been to one concert of theirs, back in the day. And yes, JBJ rocks and he's gorgeous
