Maybe I should mention that time when I built a high voltage generator from spare parts and then accidentally touched it.
So what you do is hook up a relay as an off switch to itself. That gives you a very rapid sequence of pulses because the relay acts as an oscillator giving you a square wave. Those you feed into the low voltage end of a transformer, and the transients will generate very high voltage peaks in the other (really the primary) coil because every time the relay suddenly switches off the magnet coil in the transformer, the field collapses very quickly and the induced voltage goes like the rate of change of the magnetic field. Hook that up to a high voltage rectifier you ripped from a TV set and feed that into the highest rated capacitor you can find.
Got all that? Ok, then listen carefully: don't do any of that under any circumstance!
