As far as pure chances of success with a girl is concerned anything is possible.
I've experienced improbable success.
And if you enjoy flirting/chatting with her anyway then you just carry on doing it anyway.
low chances of success wouldn't even stop me chatting in my own type of flirtatious way with lesbians.
You can persue someone in an elusive way but I wouldn't go out of your way to do it at this stage, or put all your eggs in one basket.
The main problem is see is the distance. That's definitely a problem.
