"Fat acceptance" has a generally suspicious tone to it.
Most of these "movements" at the end of the day require you to just not be an asshole. I'd get behind a movement called "Don't be a bitch/dick" but "fat acceptance" has a strange tone to it. I'm not going to "accept" fat, I'm not going to go out of my way to shame someone either but that doesn't mean I have to accept being fat is either attractive or healthy, at least for my own personal taste, it just doesn't work for me. I have no intention to brainwash little kids that eating unhealthy is attractive or healthy.
Besides, nobody is going to shame a person with an unhealthy weight that is trying to eat better or go to the gym and improve themselves. However, if I saw a kid with a healthy weight and healthy food habits take on unhealthy food habits I'd definitely shame, I don't know why but I'd definitely do it. If I knew a fat person that doesn't put any effort into getting to a healthy weight but complains about being fat as if it is completely out of their control, I'd probably shame them too.
Effort matters, if someone is putting in the effort to get better they deserve encouragement but if someone is wallowing in self pity, creating a negative environment for others around them and at the same time not doing anything to make their lives better I'd consider them annoying and probably shame them in the hopes of them putting in effort to better themselves.
