But the Obama's and Clinton's weren't obscenely wealthy coming into the presidency. They made/will make their cash after the fact. Their future wealth is tied almost entirely to post presidential 'donations'.Actually yeah, it is. One is a blatant attempt to buy a politician, the other is a blatant attempt to buy credibility. You might want to take a closer look at how trump became wealthy, as well, because it's looking like he just wasn't..before he got elected. See for the rest of us, owing as much as we possess is called being broke. Trump is, maybe, worth 1.4 billion (what a sad loser compared to his own estimates of his own worth), with liabilities of around 500million...but 600million of that was made since he begin campaigning. Probably just a coincidence.
Is it a wink and a nod from Goldman Sachs that they'll hook you up with the 250k speaking deals when you're done being President? Is that different than giving you the 250k before you're President, if it's implied?
I'm sure people would totally use his hotels and buy his merch if he weren't the president, especially foreign dignitaries. Raytheon stock would have went up even if he hadn't been granted the authority to fire those missiles. The multiple suits against his for-profit presidency are obviously all just fake news, like the hitler stuff.
