Cars are inherently dangerous, but I still drive fast as hell, as do others. If there is an issue, I will have to shoulder the consequences; as will anyone else around me. No one is screaming for speed limit sensors to be put in Corvettes (currently governed at 150mph). Motorcycles are inherently dangerous, but I road raced for seven years and I do triple digit speeds on the roads now (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27BB9rbUxw0&t=56). If there is an issue, I will have to shoulder the consequences; as will anyone else around me. No one is screaming for speed limit sensors in sport bikes (currently governed at 186mph). If I leave the keys in either of the two, a kid could easily kill him/her self with either and probably take someone else out with them.
I sat on a train last year going from Amsterdam to Zaandam and got a front row seat while a guy stabbed four people on. Myself and three others tackled him. Had I been in Indiana, I would have had a Glock that would have stopped him between stab #1 and stab #2. I actually put my hand on my right hip after he stabbed the first lady. The Netherlands needs knife laws. Wait… they do have those and it didn’t help.
Life is about choices and everyone has a personal right to make those choices for themselves (excluding bombings and such). Doing stupid shit in a stupid manner has stupid results and it sometimes involves others.
Just my opinion, but anti 2nd amendment and anti-gun activists sound like a bunch of Christians trying to justify the unjustifiable. Just because someone feels a particular way doesn’t mean that others should have their rights violated based on those beliefs. At least not until a logical reason can be given.
