Is it selfish or noble to stand for one's principles when their are practical consequences for others.IDK, but that wasn't really relevant, or at least a relevant difference in my decision. There were practical consequences for either vote. I couldn't give my support for them...so I didn't. Not that it would have mattered in my case. I live in one of those ratfucked districts the republicans love so much..and a state that consistently votes against it's own interests. I could have committed thousands of actual vote frauds and the state was still going trump.
Quote:Well, Hillary was all in on the prison thing back in the day with that crime bill and super predator stuff. And she likes bombing brown people (Libya). And Bill was the one ratcheted up the border detention centers. She was against gay marriage for political purpose in 2008. They said Barack only won SC because he was black back in '08.The infamous "they" say many things. Like I said, start the "why I didn't vote for hitlery" thread and I'll contribute..but I see you've already accrued a bill.
Quote:If you think jails are concentration camps, Hillary helped put a shit load of black people in concentration camps. And if you think bombing and killing a bunch of muslims unnecessarily like they did in Libya and Iraq and going bonkers with drone strikes is in the ball park of genocide, it'd definitely seem Hitler vs. Hitler'ish.I don't think that jails are concentration camps, I think that concentration camps are concentration camps, like I already told you, nitwit. Are you bickering with my choice of words rather than addressing the content or it's accuracy?
Notice, if my pasty ass commits a crime..they don;t send me to a concentration camp? They send me to jail, I get due process, etc. Meanwhile a brown citizen, under the supposedly weak and in dire need a draconian strengthening immigration laws, can be whisked off to a concentration camp even if they -haven't- committed a crime - and then deported. This isn't a hypothetical. Really roll that around in your mind. What could la migra have stopped a guy like that for -other- than suspicion of being mexican..................ofc, we assume he must have lost his id..and of that;s how that sort of shit happens...but something tells me they'd realize their mistake long before they deported a neck like mine. That's assuming the fuckers didn't let me walk at the point of the stop with a warning, or a minor fine, which they do. I've been pulled over without a license. I didn't end up in cuba for it.
Here again you're mounting the "clinton did it" theory of nazi apologism. Maybe it might have seemed to make sense to you when you thought I was a hillary voter..but now that you know I'm not........
Quote:I feel like maybe we are closer on all this after all. We're very definitely as far apart as we could be on this..as these many pages of conversation ought to have made clear.
Quote:I wouldn't describe either of them as "Like Hitler" but now that I know you thought she was so bad, you'd rather not vote for her even with Trump as the Repub, than vote for her, I think my voting for Trump could be more understandable, in that I also thought it was really bad vs really bad.You wouldn't, because you don't want to be the guy that voted for hitler...but you are.

What did you think was "really bad" about trump? Did he continue to deliver on that "really bad"? Has he delivered anything else? Mind you, you've cut yourself off from thinking that the hitler shit was "really bad"..because you've been arguing that those comparisons are absurd and inaccurate this entire time.
Quote:I disagree on that front. You would.
Quote:I fucked up assuming that there was an flaw in your logic by assuming you weren't applying the Hitler likeness stuff in a non-partisan way. That was my mistake. That was one mistake of many, apparently.
Quote:I think your conclusions are really paranoid, but it seems to be rooted in something consistent enough to me.Neither history nor current events are on your side in that. I can't imagine what you think would be paranoid in my assessment, since I used real world examples past and present in making it. I wonder how many nazi sympathizers told their resistance neighbors that they were just being paranoid?
