That is a myth. Prison is a landmine. Squeal or piss someone off, you better have your own single sell and stay in it. I've never been myself but I've met plenty who have and anyone who think's it is a day at the beach is fooling themselves.
If it was not a felony or he pleaded out to a non felony charge, especially if it was simply a note robbery and not armed robbery he might do his time in a minimum or medium security prison. In that case sure. Martha Stewart would be a better example of having it good while locked up.
