RE: Atheists, what are your thoughts on us Agnostics?

Is there...a god concept...that isn't easily contradicted by everything we know and yet still remains justifiably 'goddy' enough not to be just someone grasping at straws? Because I don't think there is and that seems to be sufficient knowledge to make being agnostic a bit dubious.
Religions were invented to impress and dupe illiterate, superstitious stone-age peasants. So in this modern, enlightened age of information, what's your excuse? Or are you saying with all your advantages, you were still tricked as easily as those early humans?
