While this is serious and they should know better. The right seem to be suffering from amnesia as this was par for the course during the Obama years . Where there was not an anti Obama story or anti Obama conspiracy they would no publish or promote .And even Trump himself has promoted fake stories and conspiracies . So no Trump and his cronies don't get to be high and mighty now .
Who made these Obama stories? Fox News? Rush Limbaugh? If you want to admit that CNN is on the same level as these, then you're correct that this shouldn't be a big deal. The difference is that you guys want to think that CNN is on a higher level of credibility than the others. In that case, yes, this is newsworthy.
CNN fired the two reporters that put out inaccurate stories. If Trump is about "honesty" *BULLSHIT* then the fuckface should fire himself.
Here is what you are not getting. It is up to journalists, NOT PUNDITS, but ALL journalists and their bosses to police the journalists and each other. It is not the job of a head of state to vilify people whose job it is to be the watchdog of government.
You'd have a defense for Trump if it were one "gaff"or one target, but that asshole spent 5 years vilifying Obama, then Hillary, but also Mexicans, and Muslims and attacked the service of TWO service people, and then vilified 17 intel agencies on top of media.
This is not normal nor should it be given the excuse you are trying to make. Trump's behavior is dangerous to the stability of the nation and a danger to global stability.
When media gets things wrong, it is up to other media and up to the public. Vilifying media in that position of power is toxic. It is the playbook of despots. If you think it is ok for a head of state to vilify media move to North Korea.
