RE: Circumcision

Snipping off the tip of ones dick does absolutely nothing to make one better adapted to any environment or any condition. Human beings have had foreskin everywhere on earth they've went, including the tropics...for some time now.....
The army promoted circumcision, initially only for black soldiers, thinking they were incapable of "keeping themselves clean"...but it didn't take off at any point before the end of the war, and only became common when doctors started doing it without asking- back home. The army did this, partly, out of a mistaken belief that doing so would somehow prevent venereal disease (it does not). Further, the japanese did not circumcise their soldiers, and do not seem to have suffered for not having done so.
We, as a society, were first conditioned to believe that it would be an improvement. It was not. We wre then conditioned to believe that it was normal. It is not. We are now conditioned to believe that all of those people who were wrong on both counts before couldn't have been entirely wrong. They were.
The practice has fallen off a cliff in recent years, but that doesn;t stop some people from continuing it, to be like their dads, mostly. Some are still just certain it must be cleaner, somehow...but one wonders that even if this were true..would we lop off labia on account of that in our daughters? Unlikely. We'd tell them to wash their crotch, which is what we do, and that's also what people with foreskin do.
