But, really, if his whole campaign has taught us anything, it's this: THERE ARE NO RULES IN POLITICS ANYMORE. When I saw his press conference announcing his candidacy and comparing Mexicans to rapists, I thought "Wow. He announced his candidacy and torpedoed his own campaign before he even stepped off the podium." But, clearly, that didn't happen that way. He eschewed basic human decency throughout his campaign, and he only got bigger, even as audio leaked of him bragging about potentially sexually assaulting random women, and even losing by a lead of almost 3 million wasn't enough to keep him out of the White House.
Thucydides once said: "right, as the world goes, is only in question between equals in power, while the strong do what they can and the weak suffer what they must." Shit has changed very little between 416 BC and 2016 AD.
