Will these types ever go away?

Trolls for sure. The less attention we give them, the better.

I don't agree anymore. While I'd really really love to dismiss these people as fringe and in it for the attention, I no longer believe they are. While I'd like to believe that this is Not Who We Are, I don't. Not anymore. 

This is how we've been all along. It never went anywhere. It just went underground. Now it's bubbling up. The ONLY way to combat this shit is to see it. Acknowledge it. OWN IT. 

I choose to believe this is the one good thing that's coming from this presidency. 

Our president denounced the violence yesterday. He did not denounce the white supremacists and their rally of hatred, their anti-semitic chanting. This is not ok and it breaks my heart that THIS is what is in the hearts of Americans. We have been in denial about this for long enough. THIS is what we all have to face and accept as the truth or we will never move away from it.
