The only thing I am in reality is a human. "Atheist" is a position I hold, meaning "off", but it's not my DNA, but a conclusion I came to.
So what does it mean "to be an atheist"? Nothing. It means everything to me to know that I am human like all 7 billion.
The better question is, " What does it take to be informed and hold the "off" position.
It takes alot to defend a position you may hold, regardless of the position one may hold.
But, the only thing humans are at our core, are humans. Anything we disagree on are positions which we are not born with, but adapt later in age.
Well it meant nothing to the Bolsheviks. But to the christians under them, it often meant life and death.

That is true. But saying you are an atheist doesn't necessarily mean you are one.
