It's stickers and emblems now. However, it's still someone's private property that's attached to their vehicle. And they have every right to have it remain on their vehicle unmolested. What if the vandal(s) decide to send a message via the car that carries the stickers and emblems? Or they decide to take issue with the person who chose to put the sticker or emblem that's found worthy of destruction, for their personal point of view that that sticker or emblem represents?
It's not "just" a sticker or emblem. It's a vandal(s) that thinks they have every right to exact violence against an inanimate object they find worthy, because it sends a message they believe deserves to be destroyed so it no longer can send the message.
That kind of attitude can spread to the car that carries the message and to the driver who affixes it to their car, thinking they have every right to speak freely, while a vandal believes they have every right to destroy their opportunity to do so. That can get ugly, fast.
Any idiot that takes their personal political point of view out on a vehicle that has camera surveillance, that hopefully works, in the parking lot has already demonstrated they don't worry about security or being "seen" by those camera's, as long as they can send their own message against evolution and those who agree with it.
