There is a difference in meaning and the context in with I used the word was clear. While I agree that there is not an "atheist worldview", each atheist has a worldview (in fact, everyone has one).
Why do you hate the word so much?
I hate "worldview" the same way I hate it when theists call "atheist" a "belief system", the same way I hate it when theists treat "atheist" like a political party or economic view. It is none of those things and it is also not a religion either.
It is because theists use those words as backhanded slurs to justify themselves as being top of the social pecking order. If you justify something as being bad, it makes it easier to forget or ignore that atheist is a human equal to you.
So when you talk to "atheists" do not call it a "worldview", do not call it a "belief system", do not assume it is a political party or economic view. And it most certainly IS NOT a religion.
Just skip all those words and if you are not sure what the individuals position is on those topics ask, but do not treat us like we are one giant gang.
Indeed it's annoying ask me shit not as an atheist but as a person . And stop acting like my atheism is what defines me .
