Did you take these in England, Poca? I've always liked this flower, Tithonia rotundafolia or Mexican Sunflower. I like the way each flower's stem goes from narrower to wider in such a Dr. Seuss fashion:
Of course the actual flowers are all in the center and the larger orange 'petals' are for flagging in pollinators.
And that works.
I also grow Tithonia diversifolia or Bolivian Sunflower which can grow to be a small tree and has yellow flowers. (Not my photos.)
Yep... Mine are all from England, Oxfordshire.
