I've also just realized it might be prudent to explain to you that I don't think that christianity is a very good example of the "beauty of human nature". I am anything but alone on this. You yourself hold to the essence of this position when thinking of pagans and "heretics", spreading false gospel. Theist and atheist alike can think of religions that are not representative of "the beauty of human nature". "The beauty of human nature" is not in itself a factual statement. At least not an objective one. It is only beautiful to us ; and not everyone believes in the beaty of human nature. In fact, some christians come to mind. We are all wicked, our very hearts condemn us. I find it difficult to believe that you don't already know this. Because these are the people advocating the idea of original sin, and you're in a thread called "a question about original sin". Lastly, of course, you are a christian, but apparently not "one of those" christians, probably because there are no "true christians".
