Also, if you continje through the entire sign up process, you may be signing away your rights to a class action lawsuit against equifax. This appears to be the real purpose of the supposed help id site.

Whatever the case may be, I've been intending to put a lock on my credit reports for some time. The only credit I need in the future is to refinance the house in 12-18 months. I'm taking a wait and see attitude on the rest, I already have the means to tell if my credit report has been queried.
