RE: I posed a question for these flag loving Trumpsters and they did not like it

I already mentioned in another thread that the Supreme Court knocked down laws forcing ritual on public school students in regards to the pledge. Jahova's Witnesses, not communists, not atheists, but religious Christians did not want their children forced to partake in the pledge.

Forced ritual are what Stalin demanded. Hitler and the Nazis demanded you solute their flag. Kim Jong Un forces his North Korean population to partake in worship of his family and solute his flag.
Saudi Arabia and Iran also force religious ritual on their populations.
And as I mentioned many times on this subject, the players are not protesting because they hate America, I don't support the players because I hate America. I support the NFL and the players because they are pointing out problems that still exist that need to be addressed. It out of love and a desire to make things better that they protest.
45s talk is the opposite of everything western societies value. The ability to speak to power and challenge the status quo, to point out problems, is a very valued concept, and it was because of protest that women now have the right to vote. It is because of protest that we no longer have segregated schools, bathrooms and businesses. It is because of protest that sports is also no longer segregated.
Our nation is not perfect, but it has constantly progressed because we have the ability to face power and say, "Hey, something is wrong and we need to fix it."
