I think it's great. Like Neo said, it's a baby step, but a baby step in the right direction. I just wonder if this somehow gives more false hope to those who have a loved one in a vegetable state, considering it will probably be a very long time until it can be applied successfully. Sometimes closure is better than the emotional roller coaster of holding on to hope....
I agree that it is a step in the right direction in solving a problem involving those in vegetative states. Hope has its place, so long as people do not cling to the false version of it, I agree.
