Nope. The "Fine. Whatever" comment came before both of those comments. And it was the 3rd post in the thread.
The "Fine. Whatever" attitude to being corrected about something incorrect was what provoked Thump to make his comment.
I mean, it's like, why be pissy about learning something?
I mean..... it's kind of clear when Thump QUOTED the "Fine. Whatever." comment in his post:

I mean... what Thump said is completely fair enough. Why the shitty attitude over being corrected? That's kind of the point. It's like Neo is only interested in being right and hates being corrected when he's wrong. It's very much an ego thing for Neo. Which is rather clear if his attitude becomes "Fine. Whatever." after being taught something. I bet he was a nightmare for his teachers in school
I wasn't talking about the whatever comment. I was talking about the other comment L.P. quoted.
"Of course, everyone will claim they respect someone who tries to speak the truth, but in reality, this is a rare quality. Most respect those who speak truths they agree with, and their respect for the speaking only extends as far as their realm of personal agreement. It is less common, almost to the point of becoming a saintly virtue, that someone truly respects and loves the truth seeker, even when their conclusions differ wildly."
