I may a be a Bears fan and you may be a Packers fan but at the end of the day we're both united in our love of the game. Playing the national anthem was a great ritual that reminded everyone that through it all, in the grand scheme, there are still things that can unite us, reminding us that we're actually all on the same team, America, united by our love for this country. But no, some players had to bring politics into the stadium. They couldn't leave it at the gate. For some of us, sport is a way to forget about the outside world for a little while. They have taken that away from me. Now all the fun is gone.
I find all nationalistic displays rather funny and don't participate, this gets a bit frowned on at Navy command but there you go.
