I had a buddy that had a 57 Chevy that he restored and featured in local car shows. It was cherry and everything in it was restored to the original configuration. Then he chromed out the engine, so that she shined inside and out. Gorgeous. It took him years and untold dollars to get her just right.
He rarely lost in his car's class, at the shows.
I love old cars. Especially those like the one's featured in the OP. However, it's all on a viewer basis. When I think of the money spent on two axles, and what I could do for my local community with the same cash, it's no contest.
I do love to look though. Beautiful works of art.

"In life you can never be too kind or too fair; everyone you meet is carrying a heavy load. When you go through your day expressing kindness and courtesy to all you meet, you leave behind a feeling of warmth and good cheer, and you help alleviate the burdens everyone is struggling with."
