Atlas, what would you do to your daughter if she left islam? Since according to you, everyone is free to choose their opinions and beliefs so just curious what you'd do. Also what would a muslim country do to leavers of islam? Are you really telling the truth about how tolerant muslims are? Has the internet really lied to us about the intolerance and violence?

You seem to know a lot about the quran. Did you stumble upon any verses with violence in them about leaving islam? Mind sharing?

According to this verse:

Sura 5, The Quran:
( 54 )   O you who have believed, whoever of you should revert from his religion - Allah will bring forth [in place of them] a people He will love and who will love Him [who are] humble toward the believers, powerful against the disbelievers; they strive in the cause of Allah and do not fear the blame of a critic. That is the favor of Allah; He bestows it upon whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.

And these verses about how Prophet Noah dealt with a similar situation:

Sura 11, The Quran:
( 41 )   And [Noah] said, "Embark therein; in the name of Allah is its course and its anchorage. Indeed, my Lord is Forgiving and Merciful."
( 42 )   And it sailed with them through waves like mountains, and Noah called to his son who was apart [from them], "O my son, come aboard with us and be not with the disbelievers."
( 43 )   [But] he said, "I will take refuge on a mountain to protect me from the water." [Noah] said, "There is no protector today from the decree of Allah, except for whom He gives mercy." And the waves came between them, and he was among the drowned.
( 44 )   And it was said, "O earth, swallow your water, and O sky, withhold [your rain]." And the water subsided, and the matter was accomplished, and the ship came to rest on the [mountain of] Judiyy. And it was said, "Away with the wrongdoing people."
( 45 )   And Noah called to his Lord and said, "My Lord, indeed my son is of my family; and indeed, Your promise is true; and You are the most just of judges!"
( 46 )   He said, "O Noah, indeed he is not of your family; indeed, he is [one whose] work was other than righteous, so ask Me not for that about which you have no knowledge. Indeed, I advise you, lest you be among the ignorant."

I will do exactly as Noah did: I will tell her to come with me, and not be with the disbelievers. If she refused; then I won't be among the ignorant. I'll let her carry her choice and just like Noah's son: carry the consequences of her action in the afterlife.

But on this life; I have no right to put a sword on her neck to believe. Across the Quran; verses prevent such act. It's not "gymnastics" around the arguments; this is my belief, literally, and the book I see holly is quoted above.

Forcing Islam by the sword has nothing to do with the Quran. Sunni/Shiite Muslims use other books (not written by Prophet Mohammed's generation), called "the Hadith books", to legitimize and give acts like killing apostates, making women wear garbage bags, making terrorism legal, a holly part of Islam. Without any direct evidence from the Quran.

As for counties; the same exact concept applies. God says:

Sura 60, The Quran:
( 7 )   Perhaps Allah will put, between you and those to whom you have been enemies among them, affection. And Allah is competent, and Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
( 8 )   Allah does not forbid you from those who do not fight you because of religion and do not expel you from your homes - from being righteous toward them and acting justly toward them. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.

Nothing should happen to apostates. Islam is not Britain or Russia in WW1; executing "deserters from the army" under treason charges.
But if anybody (including other Muslims) began to kill and transgress (like ISIS is doing), then it's self-defense; and it's the verses of war.

Killing 1 soul without a soul l is as killing all of humanity.

Killing apostates is only mentioned in Sunni/Shiite Hadiths. It has no mention in the Quran.
And it was only mentioned in the Quran in the context of war, when apostates cause civil wars and invade Muslims..
