The death of somebody in a young age; or the sickness of another, made humanity a better breed. Taught us to be compassionate, because we can be in that sick person's shoes. Eventually; you feel sorry for the needy; because you imagine their pain inflicted on you. Thus; societies advance and good prospers.
If God opened the blessings on humans in this life; we'll end up with the Greek Mythology's scenario. Earth would've burnt; international conventions of preventing WMDS and Chemical Weapons would've not been an option:
As the mother of a disabled child I wholeheartedly say this to you:
Fuck off.
I would never confront a mother when her emotions are triggered concerning her kids.
But I never meant any harm or any insult. But am I wrong when I talk about the ones causing disabilities to people using the resources they got for free since birth?
Maybe you're at a zone living in peace, but here in the Middle East lots of fucks are born with golden spoons in their mouths; using their fortune to purchase weapons that take off the legs of a child, or poisons the legacy of a poor woman to produce handicapped kids, more like Chernobyl for a whole zone.
I will fuck off; but I'll never tell those kids that they lost their life for nothing. My compassion springs from imagining myself in their shoes; in fact I'm in their shoes but it's "sandals" to me; I don't even compare to the casualties of modern warfare.
For me; in my belief; I won't mind being the lesson everybody looks at and learns from. Shame and embarrassment are in chasing the dreams of others; not in living the fact in front of you.
Yes; kids handicapped because of war teach us about the horrors of combat. kids handicapped naturally remind us how short life is and how lucky healthy people are. Poor people teach us about the pain of stealing and robbing. Mutilated bodies teach us that the industrial age has its downside too.
