I have to say honestly that I've never yet met an atheist who understands Christianity.

Ridiculous statement. Many atheists were formerly devout christians for decades.

Does that mean if they understood/ had knowledge they'd be Christian? You don't need to accept the ideas, just understand them.

One could argue - that atheists understand far more and far greater, which is exactly why they choose not to be christians.

But I don't know anyone that understands that doesn't also accept.

Utterly ridiculous statement. Purely your own perception and an impossible theory to prove. All you have to say to "legitimize" your point is, "that man simply doesn't understand, that's why he does not accept." That one is so ridiculous it barely even warrants a response.

That said, I find ignorance to be an acceptable position for an atheist.

And I find ignorance and arrogance to be the standard position of a christian.
