In fairness, It's understandable..if maybe a little stretched, that he would think so- if his knowledge of the event was strictly limited to his characterization thereof. The question, ofc, is why his knowledge or characterization of the event was so conveniently and predictably constricted - and how that came to be.
Honestly, the same comments could be repeated for most of the things he pointed to in his examples...but the very use of the term sjw as such provides a sufficient explanation for that. The use coattails precisely with the terms transformation from a positive identifier to a partisan perjorative beginning precisly at...wait for it, gamergate..as a reactionary response to feminism. A use which then grew as a dumpster term in alt right parlance for a whole host of often unrelated povs and events.
