"People keep mistaking me for a racist because they're racists! I'm being white genocided!"
Yeah, probably not....but running with it, if people keep mistaking you for a racist, you might want to look into the shit you say. After all, you're the only common denominator in all those purportedly mistaken accusations of racism. It might just be something you keep saying..over...and over...and over...and over again. I use the term "you" out of convenience, ofc.
For example...a person may routinely express positions of racial apathy or ignorance rather than racial antipathy. Both of which are deeply and meaningfully racist, both of which manifest consequences identical to antipathy as regards to peoples rights and their treatment..but many people don't recognize such comments or positions as racism.....in fact, some people think that racial apathy is the solution to racial antipathy, putting them in the hilarious position of wondering why they keep routinely being "mistaken" for a racist.
I leave it to any interested Totally Not Racist Person Who Keeps Getting Mistaken For A Racist to try and convince me that they really are that fucking dumb. Frankly, if they'd rather be a moron...or completely self unaware..... than a racist, there's hope for them after all. Chances are they came from a deeply racist culture or had a deeply racist influence in their early upbringing...and they might not, then, realize that they're saying racist shit. In some cases, such people acknowledge and reject much of the racism they were taught, but fail to recognize every racist thing they were taught as racist. They take some racist things for granted, and as "not racist, just true".
For example, that blacks culture and poor life decisions are the reason that cops are shooting them for flashing a kitkat, running, or resisting while black, rather than institutional racism. In the most generous possible assessment, this is racial apathy and ignorance born of a history of racial antipathy. Try to tell that to the person who thinks so, however..and watch them launch into a fit about white persecution.... then ask yourself if the most generous possible assessment is still an accurate one. Personally, I haven't run into any trouble with people routinely mistaking me for a racist...despite my overwhelming whiteness. I guess I must be super lucky.
