It would be interesting to hear how many years passed to the current point of him still arguing about religion.
I'm not sure that the number of years one is out of a religion has any bearing on continuing to argue against religion. Once can still speak out about the cruelty and injustice inherent in religious practice whether one left religion five years ago or fifty.
