Psychosis is a symptom, not a disease and it does not cause "loss of brain mass".
When your brain is shooting super fast, my doctor told me it get's to stage that it is toxic and burns away parts of your brain. That is when our dopamine receptors are in overdrive, and we thinking way too fast, the brain physically cannot handle it, and a chemical reaction happens that does away with mass in the brain.
