You;ve got alot to say about their motives, but their motives are irrelevant to your previous statements and any point of contention between us, or between your previous statements and facts.
Yes, magic book explicitly purports to contain a great deal of "natural science knowledge". The trouble...is that it doesn't actually contain an ounce of it. It;s claims are demonstrably false...and it is upon the backs of those claims that any comment on the subject of morality as conceived by the religious are justified.
Where...above...do you see -anything- about free will? I'm simply correcting a misapprehension you have about what's in magic book. The notion that it exclusively concerns itself with morality. It manages to prove your misapprehension inarguably wrong in the first three words and makes many....many claims from there.
Now, they could certainly excise those claims and in doing so absolve themselves of any scrutiny that might follow from making them...but if they did, they would no longer have a justification for the claims that interest you, the claims that you think are the only sorts of claims in magic book.
