Easily the best thing about a beagle...right up there with their uncontrollable urge to range for miles. They'll chase long and you never lose them. They naturally want to do everything I want a dog to do..so training them is easy. The only kink, in my experience...is that some of them are gun shy. Understandable, really. They're not too big for kids or company, and not so small that they feel like rats. We're gonna breed her at some point, then I'll have a whole bunch of beagles. My kennels been empty for a couple of years.
Imagine -that- beautiful noise! I'm that asshole neighbor that gets twisted, lays down with the dogs, and get's em howlin at the moon. Beagles are great for this...and if that was their only talent it would qualify them as the best dogs ever.
