Do Christian Parents Abuse their Children?

There are loads of ways parents abuse their children like relying on prayer alone instead of getting the necessary medical aid. But parents simply trying to pass on their knowledge they feel would be beneficial to the child is not child abuse.

Though if you call it child abuse, then you too are a child abuser for enrolling your daughters in a catholic school knowing full well what that entailed.

I have to agree. Indoctrination is unfortunate, but the parents usually are doing what they think is best. Not to mention, some religions basically require you raise your kids to be religious.

There are situations where parents use it as an excuse to be bad parents.

However I feel like this thread isnt talking about literal abuse, its just exagerating. I was gunna defend parents too, but then I read the post, and then thought this was going to be a neat conversation about the psychological effects of indocrination.
