It's the type of meat you use to make the the bacon that determines whether it is halal or not. However, another concern is the issue of how well I could trust that the slaughter was done in the proper Islamic way (especially if a store is run by non-Muslims) and not putting a false "halal" label on the products just to make a profit out of them.
How can anyone, Muslim, Kosher Jew, Vegan or Organic-nut REALLY trust any chain when they hardly EVER actually see the process?
