The thing is that there are different types of bacon (such as pork, beef, and turkey). Bacon itself is considered to be halal. It's the type of meat you use to make the the bacon that determines whether it is halal or not. However, another concern is the issue of how well I could trust that the slaughter was done in the proper Islamic way (especially if a store is run by non-Muslims) and not putting a false "halal" label on the products just to make a profit out of them.
How can anyone, Muslim, Kosher Jew, Vegan or Organic-nut REALLY trust any chain when they hardly EVER actually see the process?
