If it comes between a choice of me defending myself and my property against someone else, I'd like to have an equalizer.

Not in the least Heart

Rhythm Wrote:I'm not sure how a military coup would be any different in this regard. If General so and so wants to call himself King of Kentucky, fine, but I'm going to take a few shots at him.

You and what army? Heart

Faithy Wrote:With all of the killer military hardware our government has at its disposal, is holding onto what amounts to pea-shooters in comparison going to make a difference if it comes to armed conflict?

Nope Heart

Rhythm Wrote:Don't get me wrong, if we could settle all of our greivances without violence, and there were no tyranny in the world, I'm all for beating swords into plowshares. I'd just like to see the other guy do it first.

And he'd like to see you do it first. Unless someone does it: there will be an eternal standoff Heart

I've seen those before. They are awesome, because while they build a bigger military: I out-infrastracture and out-tech them... and accomplish in one ship a few years later what they can do with 20 Heart
Please give me a home where cloud buffalo roam
Where the dear and the strangers can play
Where sometimes is heard a discouraging word
But the skies are not stormy all day
