He admitted to inappropriate contact with the Russians

Is there a reason you said inappropriate instead of illegal?   I'd take an answer from anyone.  The word illegal has been noticeably absent from a lot of headlines involving Russia.  The implication is that collusion = illegal.  But nobody seems to be saying that explicitly, which makes me wonder.

He would of been prosecuted for undisclosed lobbying with Turkey among many other violations of the Foreign Agents Registration Act, probably his son too. He got a sweet heart deal, letting him plea to a single count which means he cant get more than a five year sentence. A prosecutor like Mueller is not going to give that deal unless he is getting some pretty damning info on a much bigger target, also a guy like Flynn who has access to very good attorney's is not taking a plea that could lock him up unless he is trying to avoid major jail time.
