It happens that the best thing possible is true, that is God exists. There is plenty of proofs for it regardless of whether we desire it or hate it.
No, you assume, like Christians and Jews, that if someone rejects a deity claim the atheist is doing it for emotional reasons. Emotions are not a good reason to accept or reject a claim. We reject ALL God/god/diety/super natural claims, not just yours and not just your religion. We reject them, because there is no evidence for such claims.
I don't "desire" to hate Apollo or Yoda either. I do hate bad logic, sure.
You have no "proofs" anymore than CL does. I like both of you, but no, I don't buy your claims. I don't buy the logic. I see most humans clinging to old mythology mostly because that is what their parents sold them.
But I don't "desire" to hate you or CL. I'd also hate it if my late mother went around claiming "The New England Patriots beat the Houston Astros in the Stanley Cup". I love my mom, but sure, if she went around repeating that every day, it would drive me nuts.
It isn't a "desire" but a reaction one has when reason and facts are accepted when others make absurd claims that don't match that.
Mystic, if I kept claiming to you every day, " My cat can fart ice cream out of his butt." And you knew I was claiming that with all sincerity would you "desire" to hate me, or would that be a reasonable reaction to think or even say, "NO BRIAN, I like you, but it is bullshit to claim your cat can fart ice cream out of his butt".
We reject bad logic, nothing more.
