Nah, most people believe they'll get everything they want in heaven. They go on living their miserable existences thinking that that new car or that lush mansion will be theirs once they go to heaven. And that they'll never suffer again!
If heaven was a place where you only sit and praise God for all eternity, no one would believe in it. It would be boring! Could you imagine praising God for all the eternity without being able to sit up, take a break and eat an ice cream (alone)?
Nope! People think they'll get everything they want once they're dead. They think they'll never get sick and that they'll even get all the sex they want. Most christians will definitely deny it, but deep down in their hearts it's all they want! They want to be gorgeous, rich and healthy and that's why they are willing to give everything to their God because he's the one who's offering all those kind of things.
But the only thing they'll tell you about heaven is that it's a place where everyone gathers with their loved ones and sing kumbaya and no one ever suffers again for all eternity. They praise God and everyone is always happy! And that's it.
Dig deep into a christian mind's idea of what heaven is like and you'll find gorgeous women (if they're a straight man), endless money, never ending sex, a stream of never ending delicious food, cars, houses, pretty places, impeccable health, success and all that sht.
The sad christians (the ones who have lost a loved one) think they'll reunite with their dead family members in order to be happy, and what does that happyness consists of? Again: money, luxuries, singing, dancing, eating, etc.
I haven'f found a christian who believes that heaven is a place where you sit in front of God/Jesus and the only thing you do is pray all day long. If Hell offered them all those things I mentioned before, they'd rather go there, because people only want to get what they want! And sitting in front of God praying is certainly not at the top of their list! (well only if it gives them all those pretty things.)
