99% of my country is religious , knowledge doesn't seem to affect this numbers. Maslow sayed that more intelligent people can concentrate on higher needs without completly fullfiling the lower , so you can say that people don't really get out of religion because they use ration but because lower needs don't affect them that much so they can easily dismiss religion or not.

Edit: Actually Maslow sayed that metamotivated people go beyond basic needs , I remembered it wrong , sorry.
