This is the "all or nothing" nonsense that BOTH Bernie and Hillary camps had which cost us the election.


I DO think Oprah is qualified, and I don't give one fuck about her celebrity. She doesn't use small words, she can write her own speeches, she started out a no name, she built an empire FROM NOTHING.  

It is bullshit to compare Oprah to 45 or the Kardashians. 45 was handed his wealth. Kim is the daughter of a billionaire lawyer. SHE was handed her wealth. OPRAH was not handed shit, and she is not stupid.

Pick your battles. But either way, this bullshit "all or nothing crap" is not going to help us win.

The Obamas would back her, not because she is famous. The Obamas would ALSO back Hillary or Bernie or Warren. Now, unless you are willing to call the Obamas stupid or mere "celebrities" too, stop making this about her fame. OPRAH started out a local journalist back in the 70s when it was far more difficult for a woman, much less a black woman, to movie up. 

If you want to attack a billionaire celebrity, Rupert Murrdoc started Fox News and that network has caused a shitload of damage to society. Oprah BACKED Obama in both his bids and I don't think she likes Fucks News anymore than you or I do.

I do not believe I am espousing an "all or nothing" attitude. She is admirable and I am sure she's a good person. But I don't want her as my president. I feel there are far better candidates with law backgrounds who would be far more qualified. I think wealth and business acumen are not the necessary qualifications for president. I am not attacking anyone or comparing anyone to the Kardashians.

DAMN people are jumping the gun here. EVEN I said she would NOT be my first choice.

THIS IS AN "IF IF IF IF" thread.

Are you going to sit out IF IF IF IF she were to get the nomination? It has not happened and I am NOT even predicting she will even run.

We had far too many Hillary and Bernie supporters sit out in 2016, and my entire point here is WE CANNOT AFFORD THAT AGAIN.

And again, "IF IF IF IF IF" the Obamas were to back her, nobody can call the Obamas dumb, and Oprah backed Barrack BOTH TIMES.

Oprah IS NOT my first choice, 

1. Michelle Obama, <----SHE WOULD BE MY FIRST CHOICE...... But that will not happen.
2. Warren <---- My real first choice, but even then, not sure what VP she could get to make an unbeatable ticket.
3. Biden <----- Same issue as Warren.

BUT I am also sure that IF IF I F IF, and she has not made any official announcement in any case. BUT IF IF IF IF my first choices above did not get nominated, I do not think Oprah would be a horrible president REGARDLESS. 

Knowing she started out with nothing, rose out of obscurity ON HER OWN, and knowing she is a huge advocate for women's rights and minority rights, I think far to many are not giving her enough credit. I think she'd do fine.
