But, yeah, I agree. Ultimately, the entire scenario is illogical and stupid.
Perfect being creates billions of imperfect beings because of no good reason (I still maintain that a perfect being is necessarily atomic).
These imperfect beings are tested. Only those that past the test get to be with the perfect being for eternity. The rest suffer a terrible fate. Given the nature of this test, it means the perfect being knowingly and willingly creates creatures that will suffer.
The test itself is nonsensical - it's entirely feeling based, about whether or not an ancient Middle Eastern prophet is somehow simultaneously the son of this perfect being, and the perfect being itself. And the belief that this thing's 'sacrifice' and resurrection was so powerful a gesture that it can offer salvation to those who believe it's real. A person's actions are of secondary importance, or none at all if they don't stem from this belief.
And we're demanded to take any of this seriously? Really?
