I suppose so, yeah. You mean some people - perish the thought - actually enjoy(ed) church?
I just felt like an idiot most of the time... cos we went to a lot of 'happy clappy' churches while I was growing up... a lot of speaking in tongues, and 'Carpet Time' as Randy Carson put it; laying of hands and the associated falling to the floor, crying hysterically sort of thing. I think if it had been a bit more structured and traditional... like CofE, I might have found it more appealing, but that wasn't to be. But anyway, yeah, it's sad if some people still feel that need long after.... I think they'd be better off making a clean break of it... and leaving the past in the past... but if they can't, then whatever floats their boat.
