#3. Who is God? God is a spirit who does not have a body like man.
Don't know why I suddenly remembered that so vividly.
Now that I think back on it ---- what a strange fucking way to define God. ??????????????
I'm reminded of the humorous story on Snopes about little Billy Evans who was born without a body, and had to use a burlap bag of leaves for a body because they were too poor to get him a transplant body. http://www.snopes.com/humor/iftrue/burlap.asp
Hmmmm. Maybe God is like Little Billy Evans. God too is seeking donations to help him. He has no body either (according to the catechism). His words say that everyone should be poor, and his ministers insist they are poor, and take vows of poverty although they are often living in luxury compared with their congregations and local communities.
I don't think God needs the money any more than Little Billy Evans. I don't think either of them are real, nor born without a body. Especially since one of them is said to be all powerful.
